Music festival in Denton, TX – like SXSW with more beard and better music. The name changed in 2011 to the 35 Conferette.
NX35 – Friday
There were moments on Friday where I was simply in awe of the creativity and genius of these wonderful artists:

& Sleep Whale
I have audio of their entire sets and some video of at least one song from each. I will be posting these next week.

I also was able to attend Kevin Roden’s Drink & Think and we discussed “Is Midlake Better than Mylie Cyrus?”. There were many thought provoking comments made that I will talk about later. I also have the audio from this and I will be posting it also next week. Photos are also below.

What if every night was like NX35?
This wristband is bolted on. Am I supposed to shower with this thing on? I think it’s going to get pretty funky by day 4.
Venue hopping is risky. I was pushed basically into the next room when I showed up a little late to Seryn: Sweetwater was too packed. This was my view:

Be excited! NX35 is finally here!
I wish I could multiply myself so that I could experience every band that is playing during the next few days. But I am going to try to squeeze in as many as possible without taking away from the enjoyment.
